Access Statement
Single storey 1 bedroom cottage with on site parking space for 1 car. The drive is on a pebbled area and a short walk from the car to cottage. There is a small step that takes you into the cottage. Entrance - Walk over flat stone patio. Small step leads from the walled & gated patio into the hallway of Gales Lodge. The bedroom, bathroom and open plan sitting, kitchen & dining are all on ground level. Bedroom floor carpeted. All doors leading and in this cottage are 3' wide.

Checking in & out

This was a last minute deal, that turned out to be a hidden gem. The cottage felt like home straight away, as it is well appointed, well equipped and comfortable. The log burner made the cottage feel like we had stepped into a nostalgic postcard and we loved it. We will definitely recommend and hope to return next year :)

We've had such a wonderful stay. The cottage is so clean and lovely and cosy. Steve and Georgina are so kind and helpful, as well. We've seen so many lovely places while we have been here (Whitby, York, Hutton-Le-Hole, "Devils Punchbowl", Scarborough and Gillamoor, of course!) We would definitely recommend The Lion in Blakey.
